Meet Chef Annabel Cohen

Born and raised in Paris, France, Annabel spent her early years in both her grandmothers' kitchens, baking traditional Jewish Moroccan treats, challah bread, and traditional French baked goods.

After pursuing her Master in Marketing & Communication, she founded a PR & Event agency in Paris. Over the next 14 years, much of her work centered on clients in the food and hospitality industry.

While she found fulfillment in this venture, her dreams of living in the United States and mastering the craft of French baking continued to beckon.

In 2013, Annabel seized the opportunity to enroll at the prestigious Ferrandi Pastry School in Paris, securing a coveted spot among the few select admitted each year. Following her graduation in 2014, she embarked on a culinary odyssey across America, honing her skills as a Pastry Chef in iconic establishments.

In The Hamptons, she became the Pastry Chef at a well-known local French Gourmet Café, where she created seasonal menus with locally grown produces, then worked at Laduree NYC.

Her next stop was Los Angeles, where she assumed the role of Head Pastry Chef at the famed Chateau Marmont Hotel and Sunset Tower Hotel. She led her teams to create outstanding menus for all the Hollywood events (Oscar, Golden Globes, Emmy...) and A-list celebrities.

Her journey eventually led her to San Diego, where she became the Head Pastry Chef at Parakeet Cafe, while offering her expertise as a Consultant to business owners seeking to improve their organization, create new menus, lower their food cost, open brick & mortars, and rebrand their company.

She is now the Founder of Annabel Cohen Gourmet, a boutique catering company in San Diego, dedicated to crafting desserts and finger food for both private and corporate events.

With a commitment to high quality and creativity, Annabel brings a taste of Parisian elegance to every occasion, ensuring that every bite is a delightful celebration of flavor and tradition.
